Frequently Asked Questions
What plumbing emergencies are common in Daly City's older homes?
Daly City's dense residential neighborhoods — especially Westlake and Broadmoor — feature homes built in the 1950s and 1960s with original galvanized steel and cast iron pipes. Common emergencies include corroded pipe bursts, sewer lateral collapses from root intrusion, and water heater failures in aging systems. We carry specialized equipment for these older systems.
How quickly can you reach my Daly City home in an emergency?
Our headquarters in South San Francisco is just minutes from Daly City. We average 45-minute response times, and Daly City calls often receive faster dispatch given our proximity. We serve Westlake, Serramonte, Broadmoor, Colma, and all surrounding areas.
Do you handle sewer backups in Daly City?
Yes. Sewer backups are one of our most common Daly City emergency calls. Many homes still connect to the system through original clay laterals that are susceptible to root intrusion and ground shifting. We provide emergency clearing, camera inspection, and permanent repair solutions.
What does emergency plumbing cost in Daly City?
Costs vary by repair type. Typical ranges: burst pipe repair $350–$1,200, sewer backup clearing $300–$600, water heater emergency $200–$800. We provide upfront pricing before work begins — no hidden fees and no after-hours surcharges.

Lawrence was extremely honest and professional. Although we weren't able to install the new thermostat due to the old wiring, he clearly explained the issue instead of pushing a workaround that wouldn't be right. He put the old thermostat back on and even took the time to educate me on how to properly seal the heater for better efficiency. I really appreciated his transparency, patience, and willingness to help. Highly recommend Sugar Bear Home Service.

Lawrence at Sugar Bear gave me several options to repair or replace my existing furnace. We had no heat, and they were able to put us on the schedule within 2 business days. All of the workers were polite, courteous, wore shoe covers, super thorough and knowledgeable. They even cleaned out the ducts. Also, we had to widen the opening for the new furnace and Sugar Bear got the carpentry work done the same week. The new furnace is better than ever. Really, this was a 5 star, white glove service experience. I highly recommend Sugar Bear.

Wonderful experience with the entire team. They were knowledgeable and very considerate. The team took their time to do the work thoughtfully and carefully, which we greatly appreciated. The price was reasonable and well worth it. Will gladly work with them again and recommend to others.

Lawrence and his team of professionals upgraded the electrical panel. They were quick to get the job done but more importantly they worked with me to satisfy PG&E requirements including sawing down two trees! The project took about 6 weeks to complete but they kept me informed throughout. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their electrical panel or troubleshoot an electrical problem.

Larry is a very professional and cordial person. He made sure of what was needed to repair our wall heater. He's very thorough and clear to explain everything needed in a way that I could easily understand, since I've no knowledge of heater systems. Thanks so much Larry.
