Your lights stay on when you need them. Your home office doesn’t shut down mid-meeting because the microwave and coffee maker can’t run at the same time.
You’ll have enough power for everything you actually use in 2024. Modern appliances, charging stations, that new heat pump your utility company keeps talking about. Your electrical panel will handle it all without breaking a sweat.
Insurance companies stop sending those letters about your “outdated electrical system.” Your home value goes up. And you sleep better knowing your family isn’t at risk from an electrical fire caused by a panel that should have been replaced years ago.
Sugar Bear Home Services has been working in Sunset District long enough to know which houses have the old Federal Pacific panels and which ones are dealing with undersized electrical service. We’ve seen the same electrical problems in these homes dozens of times.
Our electricians are licensed in California and familiar with San Francisco’s permit requirements. We handle the paperwork, coordinate with PG&E when needed, and know how to work around the quirks of older homes without creating bigger problems.
You’re not getting a sales pitch from someone who’s never held wire strippers. You’re getting straight answers from electricians who do this work every day.
First, we look at your current panel and electrical service to determine what you actually need. Not every situation requires a full service upgrade, and we’ll tell you if yours doesn’t.
We pull permits and schedule the work around your life. Most electrical panel replacements take 4-6 hours, and we coordinate the power shutoff with PG&E so you know exactly when your electricity will be off.
We install your new panel, test everything, and clean up the work area. The city inspector comes out to approve the work, and you get a signed permit showing everything was done to code. Your new panel is ready to handle whatever you plug into it.
Ready to get started?
You get a new electrical panel sized for your home’s actual electrical needs. We replace old breakers, update the grounding system, and make sure everything meets current electrical codes.
We handle all permit applications and coordinate with PG&E for any service disconnections. Most Sunset District homes need either 100-amp or 200-amp service, and we’ll recommend what makes sense for your situation without overselling you.
The work includes labeling all your circuits clearly, installing AFCI breakers where required by code, and testing every circuit to make sure it’s working properly. You’ll get documentation showing the work was inspected and approved by the city.
